Boca Raton Children's Museum

2011 Board of Directors
The Children’s Museum of Boca Raton is most fortunate in having a dedicated Board of Directors, comprised of business leaders, caring individuals from the community, and professional experts in a variety of fields. All of these enthusiastic, talented, and energetic people support the Mission of the Museum, work side-by-side with the long-time Executive Director, Poppi Mercier, and an outstanding and devoted team of volunteers.

The Board of Directors of the Children’s Museum is a “working board”. Beyond the Board’s monetary commitments, every Board Member determines in what ways s/he may best utilize his/her capabilities to further the initiatives of the Museum. Each chairs or serves on at least one standing Committee to provide input and guidance on Museum objectives and activities. Some bestow their expertise and resources on special projects such as building and managing this website, providing PR expertise, or keeping the Museum’s computers functioning properly. Others host Committee or volunteer meetings at their homes, and still others devote their time and hard work at special events throughout the year such as Breakfast with Santa and KidsFest. All of the Board members are responsive, eager supporters committed to improving the community through the Museum adding to its existing/ongoing schedule of enjoyable educational programs. They do whatever is necessary to ensure that the oldest children’s museum in the State of Florida continues to evolve, thrive, and serve the children of Boca Raton and the surrounding area now and for many years to come!
